A night of powerful physicality. The kinetic friction between surfaces, bodies, and ideologies.

Experience raw and intense movement with an opening night of battles, electrifying performances from international hip hop theatres stars and live DJs.

On the Sadler’s Wells stage there’ll be Italy’s Compagnia Bellanda, a dynamic duet fusing breaking and contemporary styles. The night will also feature an all-female reimagining of Joseph Toonga’s Born to Protest: The Reframe – this raw piece is grounded in krumping styles and explores the female experience of power, defiance and vulnerability.

Taking over the foyers will be slick, high-energy battles showcasing bold moves and serious skill. Get ready to move after hours with electrifying aftershow DJ sets keeping vibe alive and the dancefloor packed till late.

Breakin’ Convention Festival is recommended for audiences aged 12+.

The performance will take place at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in Angel, Rosebery Avenue, London, EC1R 4TN
