Company of Elders

The Company of Elders is Sadler’s Wells’ resident performance company for dancers aged 60 and over. Its members are all non-professional dancers who join with a wide range of experiences with dance.

Since 1989, the Company of Elders has showcased the power of lifelong creativity, proving it is never too late to start dancing. Each year, the company collaborates with a range of professional choreographers to create exciting new dance works that are performed at Sadler’s Wells and beyond.

We are proud of the company’s inclusive ethos, with members who are diverse in age, gender, ethnicity, lived experience and dance backgrounds – including those who have never danced before!

While we are currently not recruiting for new members, we strongly encourage anyone over the age of 60 to take part in Sadler’s Wells’ in-person and online activities, and sign up to our Over 60s Newsletter to stay up to date with upcoming performances, workshops and more.
