Dance Digital presents DuEls
Award-winning film
Produced and performed by Nagelhus Schia Productions
Directed by Jonas Åkerlund
Concept and choreography by Damien Jalet and Erna Ómarsdóttir
DuEls is a dance film produced and performed by Nagelhus Schia Productions, based on the company’s acclaimed stage production, originally presented within Oslo’s majestic Vigeland Museum. Conceived and choreographed by Damien Jalet and Erna Ómarsdóttir, and directed by Jonas Åkerlund, the film brings dance into dialogue with Vigeland’s iconic sculptures through a series of intensely charged cinematic encounters between bodies, space and stone.
DuEls won Best Dance (Outstanding Choreography) at Dance Digital, Sadler’s Wells’ dance film festival. Dance Digital Presents is a curated selection of films from the festival available for free, released for a time-limited period on Digital Stage.
Submissions for Dance Digital 2027 are now open. Filmmakers are invited to submit films to screen at the festival, be considered for an award and be selected for a curated limited time release on our Digital Stage platform.
