The Rose International Dance Prize

The Rose International Dance Prize – a brand-new biennial prize for original dance creations in any style from across the globe.

Sadler’s Wells presented four shortlisted pieces, each work selected for its top choreography, distinctive style and performance quality. Alongside the Rose Prize, the Bloom Prize celebrated artists with up to ten years choreographic experience.

A jury of five judges; Professor Christopher Bannerman (Chair), PJ Harvey, Karthika Naïr, Dame Arlene Phillips and Dr Samuel Ross MBE) awarded the inaugural Rose Prize of £40,000 to Christos Papadopoulos for LARSEN C and the Bloom Prize of £15,000 went to Stav Struz Boutrous for Sepia.
