One woman in an embellished floor length gown sits on a bench. Another woman in a satin slip is laid dramatically across her lap with her arms thrown back and a bitten red apple in one of her hands. Red threads which look like wool are being pulled from her torso as if she is being disembowelled.

After dark – a savage and captivating adaption, reimagined for ages 16+

Delving into the psyche of a desperate Queen enslaved by her own harsh reflection, a tragic story unfolds brimming with cruelty, envy, and acts of heroism.

This is a woman’s dread of aging, and her battle against invisibility through enacting monstrous fantasies.

Directed by Liv Lorent and retold by Carol Ann Duffy, this visually stunning dance-theatre production turns the classic tale we know on its head. Join us and take a bite of the poisoned apple.
