Choreographer Jonathan Burrows and composer Matteo Fargion have been collaborators for 30 years, slowly building a body of work which straddles the line between dance, music, performance art and comedy.

At Sadler’s Wells, Burrows & Fargion will present their two most recent duets. Rewriting (2019) is an increasingly complex memorised choreography of cards, contrasted by a rambling love letter to the impossibility of choreographing, and accompanied by music played on a Casio keyboard. This is followed immediately by Science Fiction (2021), a loud, accumulative music performance for synthesisers and percussion, which will leave you wondering what might happen next.

Jonathan Burrows and Matteo Fargion are co-produced by PACT Zollverein, Essen and Sadler’s Wells, London.
