Two men bare chested onstage. One man kneels up, facing us, the other shielding the face of the second man, who sits on the floor.

Boreal is the first full length choreography from Daniel Ramos and Víctor Martín, drawing on all elements of traditional Spanish dance at its highest technical, choreographic and artistic level. Expect plenty of fans, shawls and castañets.

Former dancers of Ballet Nacional del España, Ramos and Martín display the artistic richness and the technical complexity of Spain’s most traditional dance. Directed by noted flamenco dancer Manuel Liñan and featuring original music by Victor Guadiana and David Durán.

Image description: Evoking the silver screen era of film, this black and white photograph shows two men with oiled hairstyles, bare chests and full skirts of ruched metallic fabric. One man kneels up, facing us, gesturing to the left with one hand, the other shielding the face of the second man, who sits on the floor, his cheek and one hand pressed to the chest of the kneeling man. The silvery fabric spills across the floor to the sides, creating an island in velvety darkness.
