Sadler’s Wells Theatre Visual Guide

This visual story is intended to help prepare you for your visit to Sadler’s Wells Theatre.

Sadler’s Wells Theatre is a world-leading theatre for dance in London. You may come here to experience a wide range of dance shows from contemporary to flamenco, ballet to hip hop and more.

This is the main entrance to Sadler’s Wells Theatre.

The theatre is along Rosebery Avenue in Angel, London and is part of the building we call Sadler’s Wells in Angel.

You will go through these red doors to enter the foyer.

You can relax here before, during and after the show.

You will see the Ticket Office. This is where you may come to buy or collect your tickets for the show, and where our team can answer any questions you might have.

There is a bar here where you can buy a snack or drink.

You may also like to go to the Fox Garden Court Café.

You will walk through these sliding doors towards the Stage Door reception.

You will then turn right past the reception and into café

You are welcome to buy food and drink from the café before your show starts.

You can find toilets on four levels of the theatre.

They are located in the basement, mezzanine, first circle and second circle. We have an accessible toilet on all four levels.

To get to the auditorium, you can enter from the foyer if you are sitting in the stalls.

You need to go to the first floor or second floor if you are sitting in the circles.

You can either take the stairs or use the lift.

This the mezzanine level where you can relax before, during and after the show.

This is the first circle. You can relax here before, during and after the show. Here you may also like to buy food and drinks before the show and during the interval (if there is an interval).

You can enter the auditorium from entrances on both the first and second circles.

Our friendly team of ushers will check your ticket and will be happy to help you to find the right entrance and locate your seat.

This is the auditorium. This is where the show will take place.

The auditorium seats approximately 1,500 people.

The lights will go off before the show starts. 

The stage is where the show will be.

After the show finishes the lights in the auditorium come back on and everyone will leave.

If you prefer, you are welcome to wait in your seat and leave after everyone else has gone and it becomes quieter.
