Motion Picture New Collaborations in Dance and Film
Sadler’s Wells Digital Stage presents a new series of films pairing top choreographers and filmmakers. Fresh from the success of BLKDOG, Olivier award-winning Botis Seva teams up with Brazilian director Douglas Bernardt, who has worked artists such as Arlo Parks. Two-time NYDC Guest Artistic Director Alesandra Seutin collaborates with Ben Williams, whose passion for hip hop has seen him work with the likes of the BBC.
Collaboration is at the heart of these films, where choreographer and filmmaker work together on an equal basis – the filmmaker revealing and enhancing the work of the choreographer and the choreographer providing the source material or material for the filmmaker to work with.
