Flamenco Festival Sessions
Fin de Fiesta, in partnership with Flamenco Festival, presents the Flamenco Festival Sessions!
This is a programme of events taking flamenco beyond the stage and back into the heart of the community. From workshops and artist encounters to late-night gatherings, the sessions offer a more intimate, participatory way to experience the festival.

Complete Beginners Dance
Saturday 27 June
12pm – 1:30pm
Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Studio A
Level: Beginners
Never tried flamenco before? This is a complete beginners workshop giving your chance to learn the basic steps, rhythms (compás), clapping (palmas) and simple body coordination that form the foundation of flamenco dance.
You’ll also pick up a few fun “party moves” so you can join in any flamenco gathering with confidence. Guided by Laura González (dancer, singer and percussionist) you’ll learn in a relaxed environment, building your sense of rhythm as you go. She’ll be accompanied live by guitarist Bryan Reyes, so you learn with real flamenco music in the room.
No experience needed. No special shoes needed. All ages and abilities welcome.
