How does the 20% off tickets work?

Members and Rehearsal Members save 20% on tickets for the majority of productions at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Lilian Baylis Studio and Peacock Theatre.

The 20% discount is valid on up to six tickets per run of each show.

There are some productions where the 20% discount does not apply. These productions are not scheduled as part of the Sadler’s Wells season, but are independent hires. We’ll make a note on the productions that do not offer discounted tickets to Members and Rehearsal Members on our book-ing pages.

To receive your membership discount when booking online, log in to your Sadler’s Wells account. The discount will apply automatically.

How does priority booking work?

Members and Rehearsal Members can book tickets for a new season of dance before the general public.

Usually, Members can book their seats three days in advance, and Rehearsal Members five days in advance.

There are at least two priority booking periods each year. We’ll send an email to let you know when they’re coming up. Priority booking is available online, over the phone, and in person.

Can I upgrade my membership?

Can I cancel my membership and receive a refund?

Sorry, we’re not able to offer refunds on memberships.

Can you claim Gift Aid on my membership?

Unfortunately, we’re not able to claim Gift Aid on memberships.

How does my membership support Sadler’s Wells?

Sadler’s Wells is a registered charity, and we rely on memberships and donations to keep making and sharing the dance you love.

From creative learning programmes and artist development to exciting new commissions and pro-ductions, our supporters make it possible for us to keep creating, curating and presenting dance in all its forms.

Our charitable work includes:

Gift Memberships

How does online Gift Membership work?

You will receive a Gift Certificate code via email within 24 hours of purchase. You can then forward this Gift Certificate code to the person you are gifting it to. The code is valid for one year from the date of purchase. It can be used in full, or in part, towards the purchase of a membership. Any balance remaining on the certificate can be used towards buying a ticket.

How will the person I’m buying for know they’ve been bought a Gift Membership?

Once you receive the Gift Certificate code, you will pass it on to the recipient. The person you’re buying for won’t hear from us until they’ve activated their membership.

How do I redeem my Gift Membership?

1. Log in to your Sadler’s Wells account, or create an account if you don’t already have one.
2. Go to the Become a Member page and select the level of membership you’d like and click Join Today.
3. When asked ‘How frequently would you like us to take payment?’ please select ‘Only once’ and add to basket.
4. At the checkout, select ‘Gift Certificate’ as the payment option and enter the unique code included in the email.

When do Gift Memberships need to be activated? 

Gift Certificate codes are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Once activated, the membership will last for one year.

Is there a last posting date  for Gift Memberships? 

There are no last posting dates for our online gift memberships. Once you’ve bought the gift membership, the Gift Certificate code will be emailed to you within 24 hours.

Rehearsal Membership events

How will I receive invitations to events?

We’ll send out invitations to all events via email.

How many open rehearsals will Rehearsal Members be invited to a year?

Rehearsal Members will be invited to at least four open rehearsals a year. We offer places to Rehearsal Members who respond first, until they run out.

How far in advance are open rehearsals announced?

Open rehearsals can be announced up to several weeks before the rehearsal date. Due to the nature of open rehearsals, they can sometimes be announced at shorter notice, and the date and time may be subject to change. We do everything we can to give you as much notice as possible.

When and where do open rehearsals take place?

Open Rehearsals usually take place at Sadler’s Wells Theatre. They may be in the evening or day-time, depending on the company schedule. All the details will be included in the invitations.

How many spaces are Rehearsal Members allowed to RSVP for?

For open rehearsals and Season Previews, Rehearsal Members can RSVP for one or two spaces. To keep the allocation process fair, we’re not able to offer more spaces.

Can I choose which rehearsals I want to attend?

Open rehearsals are arranged with visiting companies on a case-by-case basis, which means it is not possible for Rehearsal Members to request rehearsals for productions in advance.

We’ll send out invitations to events via email throughout the year, and Rehearsal Members can choose which events they’d like to RSVP to. We’ll send out at least four invitations per year.
