Expect a vibrant and energetic atmosphere inspired by Afro-Cuban traditions. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills — you’ll explore movement through rhythm, expression, and connection to the music, with a focus on cultural storytelling and community spirit.
These workshops are for anyone over 18, and can be adapted for seated exercise, making them accessible for everyone.

Do I need any existing dance experience?
No experience needed. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking to try something new, our friendly instructors will guide you every step of the way.
The classes are designed for you to enjoy a welcoming atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to let loose and have fun.
What dance styles are available? Who are the instructors?
Bollywood: Experience the colourful and dynamic world of Bollywood dance with Showmi Das. A renowned Bollywood dancer and choreographer, Showmi will guide you through each step, ensuring you have fun while mastering the moves. Immerse yourself in a lively style where every move tells a story and every beat brings joy.
Afro Cuban: Expect a vibrant and energetic atmosphere from Luanda Pau‘s Afro Cuban class — together you’ll explore movement through rhythm, expression, and connection to the music. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just starting out, you’ll experience the community spirit of Cuba.
Afro-Dance: Sarah Lisney will lift your day with expressive, rhythmic, and high-energy moves rooted in hip hop and Afrodance styles. Classes will be fun, energetic, and welcoming — you’ll start with a warm-up, break down moves step-by-step, and then put everything together into a routine.
Where are the classes?
The classes are located on The Dance Floor at Sadler’s Wells East, a public performance space in the venue’s light filled foyer.

Are the classes free?
These classes are free to attend. You’ll be asked to register your details on arrival at the Welcome Desk. No pre-booking is available, so we recommend arriving early to avoid missing out as spaces are limited.
What should I bring?
Bring comfortable clothing, a bottle of water and your enthusiasm! We also recommend sneakers or comfortable shoes.
What are the facilities at the venue?
Toilets are available on level 0, including accessible and gender-neutral toilets.
What ages are these workshops suitable for?
These workshops are designed for adults over the age of 18.
Is there food and drink available at the venue?
There is a water fountain for you to fill up your drink bottle.
Food and drink will be available to purchase from The Well and the Park Kitchen and Bar in the foyer.
