A deliciously dark fairytale about a love that devours…
Following the success of their fairytale trilogy – Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin and Snow White – balletLORENT returns with Hansel & Gretel and the Witch, a spellbinding new dance theatre production for all the family.
Written by former Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, this fresh retelling of the Brothers Grimm’s most darkly sweet fairytale is brought to life through balletLORENT’s latest collaboration with composer Murray Gold, with narration by BAFTA-winning actor Gina McKee.
Audiences are invited into a bewitching world of fun fairs, giant chickens and sugar glass houses, as Duffy peels back the glossy veneer of traditional folklore to reveal a story that celebrates the resilience, imagination and courage of childhood.
