A joyful celebration of music, movement and community — brought to the Dance Floor by House of Suraj.
Step into an electrifying day of dance, music and community as House of Suraj takes over the Dance Floor at Sadler’s Wells with Catch These Hands – A Waacking Extravaganza.
Expect six hours of continuous music, movement and celebration inspired by House, Waacking and global club culture.
Throughout the afternoon, the Dance Floor becomes a hive of activity with workshops, cyphers, classes taught by various members of House of Suraj, a high‑energy battle and ongoing social dancing, curated by Kumari Suraj.
Whether you’re an experienced mover or stepping in for the first time, this Takeover invites everyone to join in, express themselves and be part of the collective groove.

Dress to express. Wear your flowers, from subtle touches to full‑bloom looks! Our favourite looks will be up for the Best Dressed Spectator Award.
DJs Throughout the Day
A continuous soundtrack keeps the energy flowing on the Dance Floor:

Workshops, Classes, Cyphers & Social Dancing
Take part in open‑level dance sessions and learn from multiple members of House of Suraj, who will each bring their own styles, foundations and influences to the floor. Join a cypher, move freely in the space, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
Workshops and classes are supported by NYC Club Legend Tine Gatchalian, and Waacking Icon Kumari Suraj, with moments throughout the day to rest, reset or dance as you feel.

The event culminates in an exhilarating Waacking battle, judged by an international panel with both judges’ scores and audience votes deciding the winner:
