MargaM VR – Divya Kasturi A free VR experience on The Dance Floor

Abstract image of multiple glowing white dancer-like figures mirrored across a dark blue background, creating a symmetrical motion effect above a textured floor.

Put on a headset. Enter a South Indian temple. Let a 2,000-year-old dance tradition guide you from the threshold to the inner sanctum.

MargaM guides you through a virtual South Indian temple on a memorable journey through Bharatanatyam – one of the world’s oldest classical dance forms. Through a VR headset, you move from the temple’s entrance to its inner sanctum as you encounter the intricate moves, held inside an original soundscape of voice, music and song.

Created by British-Indian dance artist Divya Kasturi in collaboration with leading digital artists and technologists, MargaM brings forward stories and voices that have long deserved a wider stage.

No dance knowledge needed. No VR experience required. Just put on the headset and let it take you.
