Hip hop’s next generation bring endless energy to the stage!

Boy Blue youth and kids bring you their hip hop takeover of YFX as part of Boy Blue’s 25th anniversary.

Join us for performances from their 11-16s youth companies – Aqua Blue, The Bluez and The Blueprint, plus their youngest dancers Sky Blue (age 8-11) and Mini Bluez (age 5-8). With guest appearances from affiliate youth groups as well, the stage will be brimming with young talent.

Dancers and poets aged 18-25 will then perform Project rEVOLUTION, a youth piece inspired by Boy Blue’s current touring production CYCLES, originally created in collaboration with Boy Blue and Roundhouse for Roundhouse 360 Festival.

Founded in east London, 2001 by composer Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante MBE and choreographer Kenrick ‘H2O’ Sandy MBE, Boy Blue is the radical force that has defined the potential and power of hip-hop dance theatre across the UK.
