Exchanges, Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds are not permitted except where the performance is cancelled or abandoned when less than half the performance has taken place. However, e-tickets may be exchanged for future performances, or for a Sadler’s Wells Gift Certificate if returned to the ticket office at least 24 hours before the performance.*

Orders made on Digital Stage cannot be refunded or exchanged once purchased.

For group bookings (10 tickets or more) three weeks notice is required.

A £3.50 per ticket booking amendment fee applies for any exchanges or Sadler’s Wells Gift certificates (maximum £21 per booking).

Any amendment or transaction charges are non-refundable.

If a performance is cancelled or abandoned when less than half the performance has taken place, our maximum liability to you in this respect is the face value only of the tickets purchased. Please note that the cancellation rights contained in the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (as amended) do not apply to the services we offer.

Sadler’s Wells does not operate a returns list for sold out performances so any tickets returned are placed on general sale.

*For some other performances, in particular in cases of shows taking place at venues other than Sadler’s Wells, or when the venue has been hired by an external agency/producer, e-tickets cannot be exchanged or a gift certificate issued. Please check with the ticket sales team for more information.

Can I resell my e-ticket(s)?

The re-sale of e-tickets by retail or online auction site by anyone other than Sadler’s Wells is strictly prohibited and will invalidate the e-ticket.

Any e-ticket sold for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than Sadler’s Wells or any of its authorised agents will be invalid.

Please do not attempt to resell e-tickets on or around the theatre premises.

How do I get my e-ticket(s)?

Your e-tickets will be emailed to you and you will need to show them on an electronic device when you arrive. Alternatively, you can print your e-ticket(s) and bring a physical copy to enter the auditorium.

What if my e-ticket(s) do not arrive / I lose my ticket(s)?

Please check the inbox of the email address you used to book with and search for “Your e-tickets” to locate your email with your e-tickets attached. If you find you are unable to locate them please contact the ticket office in advance by email at tickets@sadlerswells.com or by phone on 020 7863 8000.

Is there a booking fee?

A transaction fee of £3.50 will be added to all telephone and online ticket bookings and reservations. Only one charge is made per booking. There is no charge when booking in person.

A levy of 50p is added to each ticket, the proceeds from which go towards maintaining our buildings and running costs. Sadler’s Wells is a completely unique and historic organisation and one of our objectives as a charity is to maintain it for future generations. Running and looking after buildings like ours can be complicated, and come with a hefty price tag. With your help, and contribution to this levy – Sadler’s Wells will continue to host thousands of inspiring shows, young creatives and passionate dance fans for many decades to come.
