The Breakin’ Convention festival’s workshop programme is a hot house of technique, challenge and creativity. This is your opportunity to hone your technique or try dance for the first time, learning from some of the best hip hop, house and funk style dancers from across the globe.

Popping

Practice perfecting the perfect pop with the leading lady crew of popping. In this workshop, Marie Poppins, Dassy Lee and Lily Frias will guide you through wrist pops to dimestops, plus a Q&A after so you can ask all your burning questions.
Injury Prevention

This workshop invites all styles dancers in a session that will cover practical conditioning tactics, strategy, injury prevention tools, as well as injury management tactics during an injury. The workshop will include theory blended with a practical session, so bring your comfortable clothes and notebooks.

Discover oneself in the present moment, be together, and strip away all pretences to be fully oneself, in this workshop from Compagnie Kilaï’s Dafne Bianchi. Learn to rediscover your movements to convey a message with improvisation and freestyle exercises along with tools that you can use for your personal training afterwards.

At these workshops you will have the opportunity to work with industry professionals, develop your confidence and creativity, meet some of the ABC team and ask questions about the course.
