THE HERDS The Walk Productions
Follow life-size puppet animals as they rampage through Stratford on their global journey from the Congo Basin to the Arctic Circle
Public art and climate action on a vast scale – THE HERDS is an ambitious coming together of culture and climate to inspire action and reignite our connection with the natural world. From April to August 2025, the animals are traveling a 20,000 km route, symbolizing their flight from climate disaster.
THE HERDS will come body to body, hoof to arm, horns to head with dancers from Sadler’s Wells as they journey through East London. Featuring specially commissioned choreography by Associate Artist Alesandra Seutin, dancers try to stop the animals in every possible way.
Join us for this special moment of wild wonder from the creators of The Walk with Little Amal, as the animals of THE HERDS convey the ferocity and beauty of nature – proud, elegant, frightened and graceful.
THE HERDS: a public art and climate action project from The Walk Productions. Produced by David Lan and Tracey Seaward. Created by Amir Nizar Zuabi with Executive Producer Sarah Loader.
