Wee Movers on The Dance Floor
Join Wee Movers for a joyful morning of dance, music and performance for all the family!
Bring the whole family for a playful and energising morning with Wee Movers — a vibrant celebration of movement, music, and community for all ages.
Schedule:
10am – Doors open
10.15–11am – Family Dance Workshop (Ages 2–8)
A fun and relaxed introduction to contemporary dance for wee ones and their grown-ups to move together. Led by Wee Movers founded Fiona Campbell, this playful session begins with a gentle floor-based warm-up before taking you on a creative movement adventure.
No dance experience needed – just bring your energy and imagination! Younger and older siblings are always welcome!
11-11.45am – Performances
Be inspired by performances from our adult and children’s classes.
Our adult dancers will share a vibrant piece packed with dynamic phrases and moments of improvisation – co-created with teachers Eilidh Scott and Virginia Poli.
Later on, the 7–10-year-olds perform their joyful new work all about friendship, creativity and dancing together, developed in collaboration with teacher Eilidh Scott.
11.45am–1pm – Family Dance Party with Dreamhouse Records
An all-ages dance party, featuring a live DJ set from Jon Clifford, founder of east London’s Dreamhouse Records. Expect top tunes to get the whole family moving (no nursery rhymes here!)
With dance competitions, movement games and prizes to be won – this is the ultimate way to wrap up the morning!
