Dancing City 2025 One Sky by Pagrav Dance Company
The spirit of South Asian kite festivals comes to Stratford, in this dance spectacular which celebrates the importance of togetherness
Last seen at Dancing City in 2023, Pagrav Dance Company return to Greenwich + Docklands Interantional Festival in their 20th anniversary year with the London premiere of their new show One Sky inspired by the tradition of kite-flying from rooftops, offering a sky high fusion of movement, music and puppetry.
As part of Dancing City 2025, this celebration of outdoor dance will showcase a host of amazing outdoor spaces across Stratford – popping up in the Town Centre, East Bank and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Dancing City will run between 1 – 6pm.
One Sky is commissioned and supported by Sadler’s Wells, The London Borough of Newham, Eastbank, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Without Walls UK and Arts Council England.

Kite making workshop with Pagrav Dance Company

In connection to their new show One Sky, inspired by the tradition of kite-flying, children and families can take part in a free kite-making workshop in the Sadler’s Wells East foyer, getting stuck in with creative crafts ending in participants processing their kites up towards the performance area.
This workshop is drop in, with participation taking roughly 30 minutes.

These tasters offer a glimpse of the exciting sessions coming to The Dance Floor from 15 September — a space at Sadler’s Wells dedicated to movement, connection and creativity.
