The Dance Floor presents: Get Into Dance Takeover

Four women stand indoors holding colorful paper flowers, with one woman in the foreground smiling and wearing a printed headscarf.

Celebrate the energy, creativity and diversity of East London with this joyful showcase.

Featuring an inspiring line-up of performances and workshops, this is a celebration of the people and communities we work with year-round.

Created in collaboration with professional artists and local participants, the line up includes performances from a wide range of styles and community groups.

Also joining us on The Dance Floor is DJ Vanessa Maria — a dynamic creative leader, cultural advocate, DJ, and broadcaster at Foundation FM and Kiss FM. As a Resident Advisor host, she is renowned for her influence in music and culture. A Zetteler 25 for 2025 honoree, recipient of the Limitless Black Influence Award (2023), and a GUAP 30 Under 30 Blacklist inductee, Vanessa captivates global audiences — whether she’s sharing music or shaping cultural conversations.

Get into Dance shines a spotlight on the power of dance to bring people together, improve wellbeing and celebrate identity. Regular dance classes in community centres across East London provide free opportunities for our local communities to move, express, and connect. This festival is where it all comes together.
